Learning Group

The function of the Learning Group is to work on behalf of the Partnership to enable it to fulfil its responsibilities from an informed perspective.

Its primary functions are to:

  1. disseminate learning* in respect of child protection and safeguarding developments and practice
  2. work collaboratively with other OSCP groups, responding to requests when they arise
  3. work with other groups locally and nationally to enhance learning

*Learning from a national and local perspective, examples of good practice, local and national serious case reviews.

    • Reviews - the purpose of serious child safeguarding case reviews, at local and national level, is to identify improvements that can be made to safeguard and promote the welfare of children, see more about reviews here
