Short Description

This practical masterclass explores the structure and expectations of strategy discussions and child protection conferences, helping professionals participate with confidence and clarity.

Through scenario-based reflection and guided discussion, learners will develop skills in presenting information succinctly, analysing risk, sharing concerns appropriately and contributing meaningfully to multi-agency decision-making.

Aim

To equip professionals with the confidence, knowledge and practical skills required to prepare for, contribute to and follow up on strategy discussions and child protection conferences effectively and in line with statutory safeguarding expectations.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this session participants will be able to:

• Understand the purpose, process and legal framework underpinning strategy discussions & child protection conferences.
• Prepare effectively to present relevant information, analysis and risk factors
  Speak with clarity and confidence in multi-agency forums.
• Distinguish between information sharing, professional opinion and evidence-based judgement.
• Record, reflect and plan follow-up actions in accordance with safeguarding procedures.

Cancellation Charge

Please note that with effect from 1^st November we will be introducing a cancellation charge of £75. This will apply to cancellations that take place 48hours or less before the start of the course or if you book a place but do not attend.
